Colne Ghost Walk (One Hour)

The journey begins at the cenotaph and includes:

Colne Hall - Hannah Rutherford accidently killed in Shaw’s Mill as a child worker, her ghost has never forgiven her employer and is quite prolific in her sightings.

Municipal hall and the Crossley ghost.

The town hall and its famous flag stone. Hear stories of the cotton riots and the violent clashes with the army.

St. Bartholomews church and its two famous clergymen from 1643 and 1856, plus Richard Baldwin and John Tillotson, Archbishop of Canterbury.

The Hatter Inn, infamous for the Kings Shilling and Captain Barcroft, his ghost still haunts the old inn where he took the shilling in 1771.

Market Cross and the site of the old inn where Pendle witch victim John Law started the 1612 witch trials.

Skipton Ghost Walk (One Hour 15 Minutes)

Your adventure begins at The Royal Shepherd Inn, which has been haunted since 1782 by the ghost of John Southworth who was murdered there.

Hallams Yard, hear the story of American Civil War rebel John Cresap.

Site of the old market cross and its bloody violent past.

The old law courts and the screaming skull story.

Sheep Street and the textile riots of the 1870s.

Skipton castle and the hauntings of Elizabethan ghosts and English Civil War.

The Black Horse and the murder of Jane Gilpin 1917.

We finish to the rear of the Royal Shepherd Inn with the ghostly story of Molly Barker and her faithful dog, Tag, who still haunts the Canal path to this day.
